About

Trained at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa (Italy), the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris and Lyon, France), the University of Salento (Lecce, Italy), and the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität in Greifswald (Germany), I have been working for several years on Nietzsche's philosophy (ethics, aesthetics, and philosophical psychology) and on contemporary sociology. In addition, I have dealt with questions concerning the relationship between knowledge and belief - especially religious belief - in the thought of Pascal, Kierkegaard and Wittgenstein. More recently, I have focused my research on the philosophy and sociology of love and love relationships in contemporary Western society. I also work on gender issues, philosophical anthropology, and film philosophy.
